Last Saturday I made a post about a Mystery Shoppers job offer that I received in the mail. I was really excited about it after reading the letters that I was on probation for the said job. But it was Saturday, so it took a while for us to think and to examine the check and letter from the sender whether it was legal or not. First, my husband and I found out that after calling them to ask questions, they are in Canada, and the letters and check address was from here in USA, somewhere in Maryland, but the street addresses were not the same. Second, my husband browsed on the Internet regarding the company they used, it was not related to a Mystery Shopper market response. It is all about transportation. Thirdly, we found out after searching for Mystery Shopper scams online, that the signature they used was the same person who scammed others. Lastly, I never applied for a Mystery Shopper job recently, I think that was a year ago and even I forgot about it.
Honestly I was excited for half the day after I read this fake opportunity that came in the mail which I shared in my blog 2 days ago but my excitement was gone after we found out that it was a scam. Thankfully we found out before we lost thousands of dollars and it helps us to be more careful next time and to ignore this kind of mail in our mailbox. To all scammers out there, stop doing this and make your business legal. I know not only me received this kind of mail, there are few others I’ve heard about and I hope nobody gets victimized by this kind of scam.
To my co-bloggers who share their thoughts about this, Thank you so much..
