Our land

Months ago I was talking about the land we were buying in our place in the Philippines. As I've said we bought this for our future use to build a house there when we move to the Philippines to live. My husband and I are so happy because this lot is really a good deal and it has some trees on it especially mango trees. A few months after buying it, my family in the Philippines decided to clean up some areas and I've noticed it's quite good to have a house to build on. But as of now we negotiating with a neighbor to give us a right of way going to public road. Quite difficult to negotiate but I know they will give us a fair deal. I hope everything will be done and I hope also we are be able to move to the Philippines soon, I hope.....Below are some photos of the area after some cleaning's done.

The house test....

I do really like and have fun answering any questions in blogthings like tonight while visiting in other blogs, there was a post from one blogger which got my attention and I tried to answer it and below is the result. Try yours and see the result!!!!!!

What the House Test Says About You

You consider yourself important, but no more important than anyone else. You love attention, but you don't feel like you deserve more of it than anyone else.

You aren't against being community oriented, but it's not really your thing. You tend to prefer to focus on your family and not the neighborhood around you.

You are a social, friendly, and giving person. You like to bring people together and make them feel happy.

You take good care of your physical appearance. You dress well, stay in shape, and do your best to look great.

You are moved by romance and love. You are optimistic about people, and you love hearing about happy endings.

Money Saving Tips

>> Thursday, June 26, 2008

Yesterday I was talking about budgeting and I tried to searched for some tips on the internet. I browsed and found a page. For me, it was a nice one so I'm sharing it as I promised yesterday. It is smart money-saving tips you need now by Maura Judkis.
Food: Cooking for yourself can be fast and easy, as well as surprisingly cheap. Try online recipe finders for meals that use what you already have in your fridge. Make enough for a few days, and then use the leftovers in sandwiches for work the rest of the week. Eating at your desk could save you more than $100 a month.
Budgeting: It pays to educate yourself so that you can make informed decisions about budgeting, investing, and other aspects of your finances. Simple steps like automating your bill payments can help you avoid late fees and damage to your credit score.
Transportation: If going to the gas station makes you cringe, make sure your car is in a top shape with a tune-up. Fixing any serious maintenance problems can improve your gas mileage by as much as 40 percent. Becoming a better driver can help you save money, too. Smooth braking and acceleration, as well as slower driving will improve your mileage and keep money in your wallet.
Energy: You'll feel better about your monthly utility bills, and also the environment, when you take small steps to cut your energy use, start by replacing your incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent. Though CFLs cost more at the store, they don't need to be replaced as frequently and can save your household hundreds of dollars over their life spans.
Entertainment: And even though saving money is serious stuff, you can still have fun on a tight budget. Try renting movies and cozying up on the couch with friends or loved ones, and get inexpensive, designer like clothing worth bragging about. When traveling, picnic lunches can be fun and tasty, and if your sense of adventure dictates a vacation abroad, look a little farther
afield, to where the dollar is doing better.

Bad Temper

Since yesterday I wasn't in a good mood, I was quite bad temper and sometimes I was sensitive even just a small thing bothered me. Especially I needed to finish something and then other things bothered me. I am so Blessed that God given me a wonderful and a patient husband to understand me. So today I watched my horoscope if it can relate to myself. If it does, I try to avoid things and do the best I can. Let see what my horoscope says for today..
Aquarius
1/20 – 2/18
Overview
Today, there is no point in sharing your thoughts with other people unless you share all of them, honestly -- the good and the bad, the objective and the subjective, the helpful and the pointless. Due to your healthy balance between diplomacy and compassion, you always know just what to say and how to say it. So don't worry about hurting other people's feelings. If you come off as harsh, it's more their hypersensitivity than it is your insensitivity

Best Jeans

>> Sunday, June 22, 2008

Yesterday I was talking about my jeans and it was so timimg when I was browsing yahoo shopping I read an important topic regarding jeans. The topic is ..... Best Jeans for Your Figure by REDBOOK... 12 pairs of the most flattering...
The Best Jeans: Flat Behind
The key to going from flat to flattering is finding a pair of jeans with some Lycra or spandex for lift, wide-set back pockets to break up the turf back there, and embellished stitching to define roundness. Most important, stay away from stiff denim — it will flatten your backside like a pancake!
The Best Jeans: Bubble Behind
Women with the coveted "bubble behind" have a not-so-coveted challenge: to find jeans that fit their derriere but don't gape at the waist. Jeans with a high waist and/or a contoured seam above the back pockets (instead of dipping, it should crest upward toward the waist) are most likely to hold in your curves. Also, choose a pair with some stretch for a sag-free fit.
The Best Jeans: No Behind
The trick to creating a backside where there really isn't one is to wear jeans with eye-catching posterior details, like flap or button pockets and multicolored designer stitching, which help give the illusion of a little junk in the trunk. Nana says, "These are so comfortable, and I love that my rear didn't get lost in them!"
The Best Jeans: Triangle Behind
A triangle behind (widest where your hips meet the thighs) is in need of some balance. The ideal pair of jeans is one made of a heavyweight denim with only a little stretch, to help round out the bottom of your derriere. Also, strategically placed pockets — ones that are on a diagonal or set high toward the waist — keep eyes focused on the center of your butt and not on your outer thighs to achieve balance.
The Best Jeans: Wide Behind
Rule No. 1 for making a wide posterior look great: Avoid wide-leg jeans, which cling to your widest point and nowhere else. Straight-leg or boot-cut shapes — with closely set pockets that draw eyes to the center — are better because they don't use too much fabric. Instead, they skim your curves, highlighting your best assets.
The Best Jeans: Low Behind
Ladies with low rear ends need a little lift. Look for slim-fit jeans — they give the illusion of a higher rear because they make legs look longer and sleeker. But avoid jeans with no back pockets — without distracting details, the jeans will make your posterior look lower (and bigger!) than it actually is.

Before I came to US, I bought 5 pairs of jeans which really fit me exactly. When I arrived in US, I only used 2 pairs of the new ones and mostly I used my old pants. Then I got pregnant and after having our baby, my body changed and it will take time to reshape again, hehehe..It is really true because today when i went out with my husband and our baby, I wore my pants and they were difficult for me to wear because they're quite tight but because I miss wearing them, I forced myself to fit in them, but they were uncomfortable. My husband keeps telling me to buy some new jeans so that I can wear again.

I watched the news on T.V. and there were some states that had tornados and floods that destroyed many homes and other properties were lost. I hope those victims can rebuild the property they lost. Baby clothes and baby eczema

>> Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Today I was quite busy with packing my baby clothes from his drawer. While packing I noticed he has many clothes which he couldn't wear again because they are to small for him. Especially his winter clothes, most of them he couldn't wear next winter. He is going to be 4 months old this coming June 18 but he's already wearing a 6-9 months size clothes. He is really so fast to grow and I'm very happy because he is healthy. Only one thing I worry about is his little spot of eczema on his face, but we started treating it with eczema cream which is a special formula of herbal extracts, essential oils and homeopathic ingredients. I hope this cream we used for him can cure his eczema. If anyone has any suggestions about getting rid of eczema, please feel free to leave a comment.

Businessmen wants tourist spots privatized...

>> Saturday, June 7, 2008

I read news from the Philippines that said an influential business group wants the government to privatize a handful of the country's major tourist spots, a move that they said will ensure the preservation of the areas.

The Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry president and appointed tourism private sector chief Samie Lim said the Philippine Tourism Authority should sell some of its major assets which have te potential to become even more attractive to both foreign and locals visitors. Among those spots that should be privatized are the Banaue Rice Terraces, Picnic Grove and Palace in the Sky in Tagaytay City and Burnham Park in Baguio City. Another tourist spot that could be privatized is a Beach resort in La Union that is not being managed well, Lim said. You can read the whole story here.

For me this is a good idea so that the said tourist spots which are mentioned above will become more attractive, well managed and will give more jobs to the Filipino people.
