Passport renewal

Last week I called the Philippine Consulate regarding requirements for a passport renewal. There are some requirements I need to prepare. One of those is to bring together with some other requirements which they listed on their site. Now that everything is prepared, I asked my husband when we are going to the Philippine Consulate. We both decided this week because if we process it in winter time it's hard for us especially be with our little boy and it's a long drive. We are in MI and Philippine Consulate is in Chicago. My husband told me it takes 5 to 6 hours ride in our vehicle. First we had planned to take a train going there but we thought too, it is inconvenient for me and the baby especially in feeding time. It is much better in a vehicle because we have privacy and if my little boy needs to feed then it is easier for me to give him. So this morning my husband and I talked about it and we decided to travel this week and I hope the weather is Ok and no rain.

My Sister's Birthday

It's September 26 here in the USA and September 27 in the Philippines today. When I woke up in the morning I'm directly in front of the computer to check my emails and do my usual routine in front of the computer. One email I got reminded me that today is my sister's birthday, Amor. She is the youngest in our family and a strong lady, emotionally and Spiritually.

House Cleaning

When I newly arrived here in the USA doing daily routine was so mangeable especially when I was alone at home after my husband went to work. I did all the house cleaning like sweeping the floor, keep our bed in proper arrangement, wiping the cabinets, tables and furniture and even gardening, I did it all.

Now that I have a little boy, it's hard for me to clean up everyday. That's why if I do cleaning at home I need to set a day when, so that I can manage myself and let my husband help me with it. Especially now that our little boy starts walking in his walker, we need to keep our floor clean.

House for sale

Today is a nice day here with a nice sunlight and a warmer weather than yesterday. We haven't much to do here, just to wait for a person to appraised the house whom my husband contacted yesterday. The home appraiser arrived at noon time and he said we'll get the result Friday. . I know we'll have difficulty trying to sell this house especially now a days there are many houses for sale. I know it'll take time to wait for this house sell and that's fine as long as we get a good or fair deal. Anyway, we'll see what the outcome of this house is for sale. Autumn Yard Work

It is a nice day here with nice sunshine and a cool breeze outside. My husband work hard cleaning in our yard. He used to cut the grass in our front and backyard. He refused my help because of the weather and we couldn't bring the little boy outside to long. It was much better in the summer time because could put our baby in his stroller while he watched us working in our yard. It starts me to miss yard work but let me see this coming days, especially autumn times when all the leaves start falling down in our driveway and in our yard, then I will try to help my husband clean up the mess. Last autumn, I enjoyed helping my husband clean up our driveway and our yard of so much leaves. We used many paper bags to carry the leaves. It was hard work but I enjoyed sweeping up the leaves. Also my husband used a mower to mulch the leaves in grass areas. This autumn I will see if he allows me to help him and I hope we can manage this time.

Mystery Shopper Scam

Last Saturday I made a post about a Mystery Shoppers job offer that I received in the mail. I was really excited about it after reading the letters that I was on probation for the said job. But it was Saturday, so it took a while for us to think and to examine the check and letter from the sender whether it was legal or not. First, my husband and I found out that after calling them to ask questions, they are in Canada, and the letters and check address was from here in USA, somewhere in Maryland, but the street addresses were not the same. Second, my husband browsed on the Internet regarding the company they used, it was not related to a Mystery Shopper market response. It is all about transportation. Thirdly, we found out after searching for Mystery Shopper scams online, that the signature they used was the same person who scammed others. Lastly, I never applied for a Mystery Shopper job recently, I think that was a year ago and even I forgot about it.

Honestly I was excited for half the day after I read this fake opportunity that came in the mail which I shared in my blog 2 days ago but my excitement was gone after we found out that it was a scam. Thankfully we found out before we lost thousands of dollars and it helps us to be more careful next time and to ignore this kind of mail in our mailbox. To all scammers out there, stop doing this and make your business legal. I know not only me received this kind of mail, there are few others I've heard about and I hope nobody gets victimized by this kind of scam.

A mystery shopper

It is a nice weekend and I just opened this blog to update while my little boy is sleeping. We just came back from a walking distance dollar store to buy some groceries. My little boy was so excited watching our ways to the store and went back home. It is quite warm outside and he seems a little tired so we didn't go directly inside the house from the store. We just sat on the porch for a rest and to enjoy the weather.

My husband handed me letter from the mail and I was surprised when I opened it because it had a big amount check enclosed with it. From my surprised I won't read all the details at first. After a few minutes I tried to read it and it said I am under probation for mystery shopper and some important information stated. At first I was not interested but afterwards I am very excited to be a mystery shopper. For me I think it is so exciting job at the same time I can take care of my family as well. But as of now I am really longing for it because it isn't finalized yet but I do hope for that. While reading all the instructions are not difficult and its easy to handle it. I hope I can pass this probation they gave me so that I'm officially a mystery shopper.

Night time thoughts

Another nice day today. Nice weather until this afternoon we decided to go with my husband to the post office to mail some important mail. I like to let my little boy get out of the house sometimes. For how many days we always inside the house due to the bad weather. After we went to the post office he was getting tired and asked milk and he got a little nap. Now he just newly wakes up from his nap after his dinner.

Almost 9:30 PM here and nothing to do much, so I'm just typing this post and watching our favorite show again on TV which is Americas Funniest Home Videos while my little boy is playing with his toys sitting beside his daddy. I am happy because he is OK and he won't bother me and even his dad. Anyway to all, have a nice night and enjoy your weekend!!!!!

Chocolate Hills

The photo shown is the place where I wanted to see and visit. This photo is the Chocolate Hills in Bohol. Even when I was living next to Bohol on the Island of Cebu, I still couldn't visit this wonderful place in Bohol. Now I'm wishing again to visit there with my family once we move in the Philippines to live. It is a nice scenic place to go with our family and do some picture taking and have some fun. I know when we return to the Philippines, we will visit the Chocolate hills.

Losing Weight!!!!!!!

When I was single I maintained my weight up to 110 lbs. When I newly arrived in USA I weighed 97 lbs. and after few months here I gained a few lbs. I remembered my first pregnancy check up for my little boy, I weighed 108. At my first tri-mester of pregnancy I maintained it. After the first tri-mester my weigh raised so fast until I was up to 130 lbs. plus. I was amazed of my weight that time and I thought it would be difficult for me to get my weight back to normal.

After I delivered my little boy I tried my best to lose what I gained. It took I don't know how many months to lose weight until my little boy is getting heavier and active and gives me more responsibility. That's when my weight started going back to normal. Last night I weighed myself and I was 108 lbs. I am so happy and I know my old pair of jeans will fit and for sure I can wear them again. I miss wearing them.

Need a playpen

It is a nice day here today. The weather's the same as yesterday, we have nice sunlight and clear skies. Probably no rain and it's near 8 PM here and the weather still the same, thanks to God for this. We had a dinner an hour ago and now we are watching TV while making this post. My little boy started complaining after a few minutes in his walker while playing with some of his toys. He is easily to get bored and wants me to pick him up. My husband and I are planning to buy a play pen for him so that he can learn playing by himself and being independent as well. Yesterday my husband checked play pen prices on eBay so that we can save some, instead of buying a new one. I hope we can find the best deal. I can't wait to watch my little boy playing by himself in the play pen.

It is nice day here today, The weather is good, when we woke up in the morning there was no clouds unlike the passed few days it was dark in the morning with full dark clouds in the sky. That time I think it was remnants from hurricane Ike. Thankfully, the hurricane is no more but it done much damage to some parts of Texas and started tornadoes in other states like ours. I know how hard it was for those people who experienced this kind of disasters, especially to those who lost everything. But life goes like that, we have bad and good times. My Little Boy

Today finally we've seen sunlight. For how many days being dark skies due to clouds finally today we have sunlight but partly cloudy. No rain, unlike a few days ago, every time I woke up it was raining outside, but this morning we had clear skies.

Also my little boy had a nice sleep last night. He slept earlier than the last 2 nights which I shared with you yesterday that he went to sleep at 3 AM. Last night he went to sleep his normal time and he woke up quite late in the morning. It's OK now and I hope he continues it. Also I've noticed him every time he wakes up earlier than me he won't cry and he just talks by himself until I wake up hearing him talk. He is more active now but he can't play long time by himself because he want us to play with him too. The problem is I can't work to long in front of the computer because he is always moving and getting bored while he's with me. He finds a way to let me entertained him or sometimes his dad plays with him.

3 AM

We stayed up late again last night and around 3 AM, he finally slept. I don't know why my little boy did it 2 nights in a row this week. I thought he wasn't feeling well but he is OK. I think sometimes maybe from the weather change, but that's not possible. For me, it is tiring if he sleeps late and we both wake up late. Today we woke up around noontime with the weather being quite cool and no sunlight comes out. I thought it was still early but when I looked at the clock, it's already noon time. It is not easy for me because I felt I'm lazy to do this but I'm not"defend myself" I'm really not. It just happens now that my little boy has problem with his sleeping time at night. I tried many times to adjust his schedule for day time sleep but still the same. I don't know if it's from a development stage. It's hard to understand sometimes but I need to and have lot of patience with this matter, as a mother.

It is another day of being late to updates my blog but as most people say better late than never. As of now I try to do a post and after that visit some blogger sites while my little boy is sleeping. He's sleeping again. I hope he sleeps good because I know he's tired last night and he needs much sleep.

Sleep and Woke up late

It is quite dark and wet due to rain and cloudy skies. I woke up late because we stayed up late last night waiting for my little boy to go to sleep and maybe because it was rainy, it caused me to sleep longer too. Just wanted not to get up from bed when I woke up but when I saw my baby he was awake already and also when I watched the table clock it was 12 PM. Family Time

It's a nice night here. We were done with our dinner a few hours ago and after I washed the dishes directly in front of the computer while my little boy played in his walker. It's a nice night as I've said because I've made some posts in this blog and also communicated with my family in the Philippines through online chatting. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year .
4. Mommy On Top: I wish I could help a couple of kids (both are related to my kids’ nannies) finish their education so they can, in turn, help their family earn a living. I could try and help them find a job, but without finishing their studies, they can only go too far. With a diploma or at least some certificate of formal education, they could do so much and reach farther. I hope my efforts in hooking them up with this certain NGO will come out with favorable results.
5. Coffeenchoclate : We hope to sustain an extended help for a few elders and be able to increase aid to another few elders before the year ends.
6. Lisgold: I wish that I can continue to give something to some kids in the Philippines as I did when I was single. I hope I can give my little boy a perfect first celebration this coming Holiday season. Of course the best wish is that all of my family are in good health and stays safe.

Back Aching

When I was single I had some problems with my back which easily gets hurt especially if I pick up something heavy. Now that I have a baby it came back again. It started when I was pregnant with my little boy. Especially after 6 months of my pregnancy until I delivered him I have this problem again. Maybe because he was quite big inside my tummy. I shared this because I felt this problem again today. My back is really pain especially now that he is always moving while carrying him and especially he is quite heavy now but anyway I think this is a part of motherhood and I think that I'm not the only one who experienced this and if you've had this problem and you did something to heal or relieve it, please share it with me. Another Lazy day

My Holiday Thoughts

This morning when I woke up it was cool weather and it made me want to stay in bed. But I needed to prepare food for my little boy. While do something in the kitchen I suddenly remembered a Holiday. I've noticed that September is the start of the months that end in the word "ber" which reminds me of the start of the "Holidays" as well. I miss this time of year a lot because when I was in Philippines this is the month I start preparing some Holiday decorations in our house and listen to Holiday songs. Preparing To Renovate Upstairs

It's about 7:40 PM here and we've newly finished our dinner. My little boy just went to sleep so I can have time in this blog again. My husband and I are both in front of the computer, he is playing poker and I am on my blog. My husband is relaxing after he took some junk out from upstairs. He is cleaning the upstairs in preparation for renovation soon. But not sure yet if he can do it by himself or maybe he will hire professional help. He's not sure yet but he'll try his best. Sharing Photo of My Little Boy

When I woke up this morning it was quite dark due to no sunlight. The weather is quite cool and windy and it made me lazy. I thought it goes to rain but just now the sunlight comes out so maybe it won't. Today nothing to do much here except my little boy makes me busy but I love it anyway. It is much better he is OK I put him in his walker and as of now he is playing with some stuff on it. At least he gives me time to do my blog again. TV News

I woke up quite late this morning due to my little boy staying up late last night and I as well. I couldn't force him to sleep so I abide him and let him play until he wants to sleep. I think he sleeps near 3 AM and that's why we both woke up late. Of course I'm late in front of the computer to do some work in my blogs. Almost noontime here now and while writing this post I am watching news on TV and they're talking mostly about the mayor of Detroit. Today the mayor of Detroit has pleaded guilty to lying under oath and has been sentenced to 120 days in jail and he must pay $1 million in restitution and he will resign as mayor also. Maybe now the city can put this mess behind them and move forward.

Renovating Bathroom

My Dog!!!!!!!!
