To Welcome a New Year

While waiting for my little boy to take his afternoon nap, I'm updating this blog since he is busy playing. He is playing near to me so I'm not worried if he falls when he tries to stand up at the table or couch. I'm quite busy since yesterday I started some major cleaning up. Yesterday I cleaned our bath room and with the help of my husband I finished it. Now I'm working on washing the dirty clothes and because I separated into 2 parts, I loaded 2 times in the washing machine and in the dryer as well. After all adult clothes are done washing I'll continue to wash my little boy clothes too. I just want to finished my cleaning before New Years, lol. Like what my husband told me last night, "I know you want the house to be fresh and clean in the New Year. Well, he is right, I started this habit when I was in the Philippines and I continue here. The reason why I do this is to welcome a New Year with fresh and clean everything that includes my thoughts too. Anyway not only New Years, I want to clean the house  everyday if possible but due to being busy with my little boy, it's hard for me to have a major cleaning everyday.

Nice Sunday

Last night we had bad weather here. First, it was raining until the strong wind woke me up. I was scared by it and it was hard for me to go back to sleep. I stayed awake for more than an hour. Luckily, I can go back to sleep before the sun comes up. Yes, today we had sunshine, unlike yesterday it was really so dark due to the cloudy sky. Yesterday also was warmer than today and it helped the snow melt. Today is a nice Sunday here. The sunshine helps the surroundings dry and just a little snow remains. For sure it's not messy anymore to walk on the driveway unlike the past days which had snow and ice while we went out on the slippery roads to shop for things we needed and visiting.

Icy roads

Today is a nice day here even if it's dark due to no sunlight but still getting warmer than the past days. The snow is melting and it makes the road clean and dry. The past few days, we watched the news on TV that showed some states had icy roads causing lots of accidents. I was born and raised in the warm weather of the Philippines and I was curious and not thinking, so I asked my husband, why are there so many vehicle accidents when it snows? Obviously his answer is getting wet and the snow became ice and it makes it slippery. Well, sorry for the kids mind, lol. Really in times of icy roads or even  snow, it would be better not to drive if not necessary.

Christmas Dinner

Yesterday we went to my step daughter's house for Christmas dinner. It was an exciting day for us especially for our little boy who experienced his first Christmas celebration. It was his first time he was with so many kids. I thought at first he wasn't use to it but I was wrong because he was so excited and was playing with his toy that his sister gave him. He plays a lot and some kids played with him too. The photo shown was one of his photos with some kids. He laughed together with them too. Until his nap time and he wanted to sleep. So my husband and I decided to go back home so he can sleep. On our way home he couldn't sleep and was whining until we got home and then he easily went to sleep.

Christmas present for our little boy

Today is really so cold and so snowy outside. We went out shopping for Christmas presents for our little boy. Christmas is just only a day and hours to wait, so we had no choice to not go shopping today. While we were out today I decided to get my hair cut after our shopping so that we only have to go out once in this cold weather. When we arrive in the store my little boy was amused looking at the clothes and toys. Before, we planned not to buy him any more toys, our reason was he has many toys from his sister and he couldn't play with them all yet. But our plan changed and we bought some for him. Especially when he saw the stuffed animals which he loved to watch. So we bought one for him. After 2 PM, we were done in the store and we headed to the hair salon which was across the street. At quarter to 3, my hair was finished and my little boy got sleepy and he was whining while we were on the way home. Anyway now is OK, he can sleep good and finally we have gifts ready for his first Christmas presents from us.

Ten Inches of Snow

Yesterday we had bad weather here and we got 10"s of snow. My husband had a big job yesterday cleaning our driveway using a snow blower. I couldn't help him  unlike last year even though I had a big tummy from my  pregnancy, I still was able to help him. But yesterday he was alone and he worked so hard. It was bad too when we woke this morning the driveway near the road had a high pile of snow from the snow plow that came during the night that made my husband clean the snow over again. Anyway today is quite fine and we have sunshine sometimes but for sure it can't melt the snow here because it's to cold.

Christmas Gift

A few weeks ago I ordered something for my husband as my Christmas gift for him from Amazon. My order came from different stores so I received each on different days. Tuesday Night Update

We finished our dinner and I'm done cleaning in the kitchen. I want to work on my blog right now, but I noticed my little boy wants me to play with him. After an hour of playing he can sleep and it's my time to continue my blog work at the same time watching TV. I am quite busy tonight because it's my schedule to communicate with my family in the Philippines, so I need to finish one more post after this because in 15 minutes is for my family time. It is very important to communicate with them 3 or 4 times a week, if possible. Sometimes I can't do that because I'm tired or busy. Saving Money on Shopping

When I  arrived in USA, I started to collect coupons from our weekend newspaper. By collecting coupons, we really can save every time we go shopping. It takes time sometimes to find the items matching the coupons we have but we still do and enjoy it. Aside from the coupons we use, now that we have a baby, my husband and I decided to buy in bulk at Sam's Club for our little boy's things such as  diapers and wipes because we can stock them quite longer. Also we can save by buying meat there, many times we bought chunk beef chicken breasts and pork chops. When we get home I just divide the meat into meal servings and freeze them. In this way we can save some money for our shopping and I'm very happy with it.

Three nights ago I was wondering why my husband wouldn't show me his laptop screen. When I attempt to watch, he just keep me from seeing it. Busier than before

Since we started letting our little boy play on the floor, I'm busier than before, but it's OK. It started as I've said when we put our cat in the shelter for animals so that we can let our little boy start to crawl so he can be more active like other kids do. It was a hard decision for us to put our cat in a shelter. If that cat was more friendly maybe we would have kept it. but she even it scratched me many times when I touched her and that's our fear if ever our little boy can touch her. Now back to my busy topic. We often clean our carpet using vacuum and once we cleaned it with a carpet cleaner after the cat was gone. Also our little boy is no longer playing in one place, he goes anywhere and he knows how to bother us when we are in the laptop. He wants to take all wires from the laptop such as the wire for the mouse and battery. Anyway, whatever he does, it's my part to look after him.

Wet Tuesday

We have a wet Tuesday, since 2 days ago the snow started to melt. Until yesterday and last night had some rain. Today when I looked outside in the road and in our driveway it is so wet. It's a good thing we don't have any appointment to go out in this kind of weather. Last year it didn't matter if we go out in this kind of weather because I could handle it but now that I have a baby it's hard because there are so many things to prepare for the baby to keep him from getting cold. Anyway as I shared a while ago that I prefer to stay at home than to go out especially in this kind of weather, but staying at home is what I'm used to since I was in the Philippines. Staying at home can be boring one if you have nothing to do. When I was in the Philippines I was busy with my little store and raising pigs. Now, here I keep busy with my baby and blogging if I have time.

Michael Takes Short Nap

After every thing's done in the kitchen tonight, my husband and I directly in front of the computer while our little just want to play besides us. Until he's getting bored and he asked me to play with other toys. So I brought him to his other toys and he plays about 30 minutes and finally he took a nap. Yes he had a nap for about 15 minutes and he wakes up.  He always gets cranky when he doesn't sleep well. I couldn't finished looking for some good deals in amazon.com for my husband because he bothers me. So I stopped looking so I can comfort him. Until I decided to do some work in my blog while his daddy plays with him. Pacquiao and dela Hoya fight

Two nights ago I was talking with my family in the Philippines online as we usually do. That time I was able to talk with my brother, who just arrived from his work on a ship as a seaman. We were talking a lot too because many times I read and watched on TV news about Somalia Pirates. He said that they passed by there but they all were alert and thanks to God they were all safe on board and finally my bro went back home. Anyway, that night after everything we talked about, I asked them when we will be able to talk again, they answered me, not last night which was Pacman and dela Hoya fight because they all wanted to watch the said fight on TV. It reminds me to look for the their fight online last night hoping to see the live show, unfortunately only the undercard fights were on. So this morning my husband told me he watched the fight already on video and he showed me this SITE and Yes, I watched the whole fight and Pacman won as TKO in the 8th round to Dela Hoya but I missed many opps from triple P, my fault anyway but I liked and enjoyed watching the fight. Bad weather and bad news

I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose. It's been 3 days now that I have had this, maybe I can catch cold but I hope its not getting worst especially because I nurse my little boy. As usual it is so cold here and when I woke up this morning I saw snow outside and cloudy skies. It is so nice if we have sunshine but I've noticed since we woke up it's cloudy until now. The weather here seems like the news we watched on TV this morning regarding the Big 3. I know there are lots of people watching and wants to find out what's the result for them, if they can get the government loans or not. Honestly my husband is one of those retired workers from one of the big 3 who worked there for 31 years and I hope all of these issues get a good end result.

Car seat

A few months ago my husband and I were planning to buy a car seat for our little boy. There were times my husband tried to look in the online stores to compare prices. He tried to bid on eBay but he had no luck with his bidding and somebody outbid him at the last minute. Then that night his daughter texted him and told that K mart offers a nice deal on a car seat. That night we both decided to go to K Mart the next day. We both were happy though because we found a nice car seat for our little boy at a good price. New food for our little boy

When we woke up in the morning my husband and I were planning to go to the store to buy some new food for our little boy. Since he had his 9 month check and his doctor told us to let him eat quite solid food. So when we woke up, the weather wasn't too cold as it has been and have nice sunshine, so we didn't hesitate to go out with our little boy. We went out in the afternoon at around 1:30 PM. In the middle of our shopping our little boy fell asleep until our way home, because of his little sleep in the afternoon, now he is back to sleep after I gave his new food.

Do something after our dinner

Since after dinner and cleaning everything in the kitchen, I'm here in front of the computer. Tonight my little boy gives me time to do something in my blog while waiting for my family to go online with me tonight. He was sleeping a few hours ago and he just woke up and is playing alone for a while and after he ask us to play with him. His dad brought him in the other room where he has some toys. Two nights now that they are playing together in that room. My husband told me that our little boy likes the carpet there more than in our living room because it is softer. 9 month check up of my little boy

Forgetfulness really happens once in a while here. It happens that sometime we forget appointments, why is that? We forgot our little boy's check up schedule. It happened last week, supposedly he had an appointment for his 9 month check up and meet his doctor. As I'd shared before that he was scheduled last week, but unfortunately when we went to the doctor the information staff said that his schedule was a day before we went there. So we just looked each other and made another schedule for him. So today is his second schedule and finally he finished in the morning and everything is good and his doctor told us his height is little over average but that's fine for him because he is a boy. Today he got 3 shots that included a flu shot, then he cried a little and said, mama.., he is really so cute doing it,lol. Next month he'll get another shot and he has another check up and see his doctor when he is 1 year old this coming February.
