Sunshine After Snow

Since I am just sitting here after my little boy went to sleep, I decided to make a post in this blog. I can't help but to say sorry to my husband after he finished cleaning our driveway from last night's snow fall. I know he worked hard cleaning up. I wish I was able to help him but I couldn't. I am happy though because after he cleaned up, the sun started to shine. I know for sure it can melt the small amount remaining in our driveway. We all know that after you use a snow blower, there is still about a 1/4 inch that remains on the cement, the sunshine helps to melt that amount of snow left by the snow blower. So far our day here is so nice and at least we have sunshine after it snows.

Finally we have a sunny weekend here. The past 2 weekends were quite dark due to no sunshine and had some snow. Today is really a nice weekend in fact we went out with our little boy. We went to store to buy something for him. It is good timing that he needed some thin sleepwear and the store had it on sale. So we bought a few pairs for him. We were just strolling in the store for an hour or so and we went back home for his afternoon nap. When we got home he couldn't sleep and he played for a while until he asks me to comfort him for sleep and a few minutes ago he went to sleep. Now I'm free and do something in my blog. Well, how about your weekend guys? Here, we have a nice and sunny weekend. Thanks God.

Thoughts of Moving

Many times I shared that we are moving in the Philippines to live. As of now we're still waiting for the house to sell. I know for sure it's going to be quite a long time before someone buys this house because our economy is still bad at this time. Since waiting for our time to move there, my husband and I always talk about what things we are going to keep and take with us. At first he said, he might sell some things we didn't want in a yard or garage sale. We also discussed about using a moving company to handle this, but we think that using a international moving company would be expensive for sure because it's a long distance to travel. My husband said that the money we saved for moving our things from here to the Philippines, could instead be used to buy new things when we move to the Philippines. That's a good idea too.

Change schedule of sleeping

Many times I shared about how we slept late at night. My little boy had problems sleeping at night time. He sleeps every night too late. Until my husband and I decided to change his sleeping schedule a few days ago. Instead of giving him a nap after our dinner, we changed his schedule and let him play a lot until he is getting tired. Yes, since we did that, his sleeping schedule is good now for him and for us because we can sleep earlier and through the night. I am so happy with this. At day time we make sure that he has enough sleep so that he can stay up after dinner and play until he is getting tired.

My Son's Reaction to The Sun and Snow

While in front of the computer tonight, I have nothing to do just to browse all the photos saved in my laptop. I was looking at all the photos of my little boy and there were two photos of him which were taken last month. His face reaction of the photos shown are the same. As you can see that he opened his mouth widely. Yes, that is his reaction if he doesn't like the brightness of the sun and snow. The photo at the left was taken when the sunshine came inside from our window and accidentally shined on him and I was laughing at the time because he opened his mouth widely with a shout. He doesn't like to have sunshine in his eyes. The second photo at the right was taken a few months ago when we first had snow here. We decided to bring him outside to experienced the coldness and the snow outside. Look at his face reaction again, he opened his mouth widely. My husband noticed that our little boy doesn't like sunshine on his face or the snow as well.

Anyway, he was 11 months old yesterday and I have no recent photo of him to share. I hope soon especially if he turns 1 year old. Hopefully he can walk by himself by that time. At this time he just stands and walks while pushing his toys and along our chairs and furniture.

Nice Sunshine and very cold

It's almost 10 PM here. It's been a nice day and night here so far. Thanks to God. For days had no sunshine and some snow falls, then today is a great one. When we woke up in the morning, it was cold as usual but had nice sunshine which helped us to not feel cold inside, lol. Yes it is but I can feel the coldness after my husband came back in from outside the house. I could see he was really feeling cold. For me and my little boy who are always inside the house we couldn't feel how cold it really is outside. I am so thankful that my husband is the one who does all the outside work but I feel guilty though. It's suppose to go down to -3 F here tonight. Coldness really makes me lazy and also it makes the gas bill go higher. That's life here so we happily accept it.

Plane Crash

I just finished dropping EC and visiting some tag boards from different bloggers. Since I started doing it, my little boy has been sleeping until now. So I decided to make another post in this blog. While doing this post, we are watching TV and have news regarding a plane crash in the Hudson river. When I watched the news I was really happy because all the passengers and crew are safe after the airliner went down in the icy waters of New York City. With Cold Weather Comes Dry and Itchy Skin

This is my 2nd winter here in the USA. So far, I can handle the cold weather but my skin can't handle it. The coldness caused my skin to be dry and itchy. It started last winter when I noticed that my skin was getting dry and itchy. I tried different lotions and they won't work. In the last part of winter last year I tried to use petroleum jelly but I had no idea if that was really the one that relieved my itchiness because the weather at that time turned warmer and as I said before, I used it during the last part of winter. So this winter, my itchiness came back again along with the cold weather for more than a month now. It is really annoying especially at night time when I'm in bed. At first I never remembered that the last part of winter of last year I used petroleum jelly on my body and a few days ago I started using it again. Now I'm still observing what's the outcome of using this petroleum jelly. I hope this itchy dry skin will be gone soon. If anyone knows of a good lotion for dry and itchy skin, please tell me.

God created land for us to live. Everyone of us has the choice where and what climate to live in. I was lucky enough and thankful that God sent me to two different lands with two types of weather. God created both lands with unique beauty and both lands are a nice place to live but due to some reasons, me and my family have to choose one and I hope soon we'll move to the other side of the world, the Philippines which is shown in the photo at the right. Hopefully our house here will be sold out soon so that we can start our life there. Now I may ask, what photo would you choose to live in?

I was just browsing on the Internet and I came across the topic regarding Plantar Fasciitis. It is said that it often causes morning heel pain. I was very interested to know about this because my husband experienced this kind of heel pain in past years. In my research of Plantar Fasciitis, it is an inflammation, usually caused by an injury of the plantar fascia which is the ligament in between the front of the heel and the base of the heel bone and the base of the toes which helps support the arch. Got this nice tag from Lynn of My so-called life. As usual I give my thanks to her for the thoughts of sharing this with me. To my friend Lynn, thanks a lot..

Well, this photo shown was in the sixth folder and was the sixth photo in that folder. This was taken before I delivered my little boy which was in December of 2007. That was his crib which we newly set up for him when he came out from my tummy. My husband and I were both excited at that time with preparing things for our little boy and that's why we were setting up the crib 2 months earlier before my delivery. On February 21st of 2008 was the date of my discharged from the hospital where I delivered my little boy and that was the first day that he used it too.

Rabbit footprints in the snow

I have no idea what I'm gonna share about today until I realized it is quite cloudy, unlike yesterday, it really was so nice and I went out without wearing my coat. Yes I went out yesterday to take a photo of the rabbit footprints. When I first saw them, I thought they were dog footprints. I let my husband looked at the footprints and he laughed at me and said that's not from a dog and those are rabbit footprints. He is right due to the hop distance of the rabbit. Anyway today we watched the weather on the TV news, they said that they are expecting 6 to 8 inches of snow and we are under winter storm warning. Yes, the snow is starting to fall right now in our area. Well, tomorrow time for cleaning up again.
