Sore throat

I have a little sore throat that started yesterday when I woke up in the morning. I had no idea if I caught a cold or if I just have an allergy. So far I have no cough just only a little sore throat. My husband told me maybe I have a sinus problem. I am worried though especially with the health problem issues now a days with the swine flu. I always tell my husband not to go out so often to avoid contamination, because we never know if we can catch it outside and he said to me calmly not to worry about it. I do really worry about the health issue these days especially we have our little boy. I hope and pray the said health problem will go away soon.

Waiting for my family

It's quarter to 10 PM here. I just wanted to post an additional post on this blog for today. Since I have little time to make this post and share some updates here I'm taking this opportunity. At first I have no other work to do and my little boy is sleeping at this time while I'm waiting for my family in the Philippines to meet me online tonight. I hope they are going to be online tonight because many times our conversations were interrupted with a bad connection and suddenly it would stop and we couldn't talk anymore. Walk with our little boy

Last Saturday we went for a walk with our little boy. While we prepared to go, I noticed that he was happy and excited to go. When I put him in the stroller, he just behaved and talked a lot and when we passed by a house with a dog barking, he watched and imitated the dog's barking. One time he even fooled his dad. My hubby thought that there was another dog barking at us but it wasn't, the barking sounds came from our little boy who imitated the bark sounds. He really enjoyed it a lot and I shared some photos of him. I hope next time I can have more photos..

Shoes for walking and bike riding

Since the Springtime came, we walked twice on the weekend and both times were on a Saturday. Since I arrived here in the USA, my husband and I have enjoyed walking and bike riding. That's why I'm thinking about buying a new pair of shoes because my old pair are not comfortable on my feet and I have no idea why, but they are getting tighter. Maybe because they are getting older. Updates and shocking news

It's almost 10 PM here and since my little boy is sleeping I have an opportunity in front of the computer to do some updates on this blog. I have so many tasks that need to be done but due to my limited time in front of the computer, I try my best to finished them all. That's why every time my little boy gives me time, I am happy with it, lol. Anyway in the news today, it was so shocking because a 1 year old baby was killed by the family pit bull. I felt sorry and thinking about how frightening it was for the parents to watch the poor baby attacked and killed by the pit bull. The victims' baby is 2 months younger than my little boy that's why the news affects me, as a parent really so hard.

My husband's wedding attire

While sitting on the couch listening to music and watching my little boy sleeping, I started thinking about 2 years ago when my husband and I were so busy preparing ourselves for our May wedding. It reminds me same this month, April was the month of our wedding preparations. From paper work to my husband's wedding attire. We rented tuxedo pants, tuxedo shirts, tuxedo vest, tuxedo shoes and some accessories for him. It wasn't hard for me though because I brought my wedding gown from the Philippines which was made by my mother and designed by me, lol. Yes I like my gown really and I still have it. I wish one of my relatives could borrow it so that I can see somebody else wearing it other than me. I thought my sister would wear it but sad to say I was here when she was getting married in the Philippines a month ago.

Walk and save some money...

We had 2 days of a clear sky here, now it's quite cloudy. Yesterday we had nice sunshine and temperatures in the 70's F. It was great day to get out and enjoy the nice weather. It is our first walk yesterday since the start of spring and we saved some money because I suggested to my husband that instead of going to the lake, we should walk to the vegetable store to shop for some fresh vegetables which we needed. That way we can save money for gasoline expenses at the same time we can have a long walk with our little boy. Yes, he approved of my suggestion. It was quite far though, but that's fine too because we enjoyed our walk and afterward we used the stroller to carry the items we bought so it was easy to carry them home.

My weight

Since I have time to make another post in this blog, I decided to take a photo while I was on the scale because today I tried on a dress that really fits me well. I tried to wear the same dress last year after I just delivered my little boy, but I couldn't wear it because I it was to tight for me. I really gained weight at the time because I was pregnant. I weighed 130 lbs. while I was pregnant and 120 lbs. a few months after I delivered my little boy. After that I always checked my weight. Tonight I weighed myself and I found out that my weight is 107.5 lbs. My lowest since I delivered my little boy. Well, I need to lose a few more lbs. to get back to my normal weight. I hope though.

My little boy's mustache

This is what it looks like when a little boy has a mustache . I took this photo a few nights ago after we gave him a taste of a dark chocolate. It happens every time we eat chocolate our little boy asks us too but in my thoughts at his age won't let him eat much. So one night he found out that we were eating chocolate and we gave him a little piece of it. Until the chocolate melted in his mouth and then he licked his lips while eating it. Then after a few minutes he tried to ask more and we saw that his upper lip had brown color and it looks like a mustache. So we were laughing and decided to take photos of him. I think about his future looks having a mustache, lol.

American Idol

While writing this post I watched three contestants perform on American Idol. The second contestant made my little boy wake up, lol. He just suddenly opened his eyes and directly watch the TV. Now we're both watching the show while I make this post. I like to watch American Idol ever since I was in the Philippines and it's one of my favorite reality shows on TV. I almost forgot this show was on tonight because I also watch another reality show on the other channel which was a rewind show many times but because I like the show I still watch it. Luckily my husband reminds me that American Idol is on tonight or else I would have missed the show tonight.

Pastime

Finally I can make a post here. Yes my little boy won't let me if I try to work in front of the computer while he's playing alone, he bothers me afterwards. Now I can finally start a post while my husband plays with him. Yes my husband stopped playing a game on his laptop. That's his pastime, anyway. He bought a video game CD a few days ago and since then he always playing it. Another thing he loves to do in front of his laptop is his blog. My husband's check up

Finally my little boy gives me a little time here. He plays with his dad at this time. I am so happy though because of him I can share some thoughts, lol, kidding. We have nice weather here and the sun has been shining since I woke up. I just wanted to go with my husband to see his doctor for his follow up check up but he refuses to let me go due to the fact that there is a long wait in the waiting room and it is always full and there isn't much room for me and our son to sit. It's quite OK if it's just me waiting so long in the waiting room and then go with him inside the examining room. Anyway the check up is doing great and as a wife, I'm very happy with the result.

Weather

Weather here? Well, if you are wondering about it, it's wet and quite snowy again. It's the same as yesterday with winter weather again. I thought we would start getting warm weather after the sunlight came out 4 days ago. We had a nice and clear sky but after 2 days we're back to snowy and wet days. It's been 2 days now that we haven't had sunshine and right now we have some snow flurries. I hope by next week or so our weather is getting better and we can experience a nice, clear sky. Anyway we can't control our mother nature so we have to accept the weather.

My little boy

Here he is!!! lol. Yes that's my little boy. He looks like he is so busy talking with his friend on his dad's cell phone. Every time he can grabbed his dad's cell phone, he turns it on and tries to press different buttons. Many times he has called his sisters cell phone but he won't talked to her. Sometimes he acts like he's talking to someone on the phone and says "Heyo", lol. He is going on 14 months old this month and he really makes us laugh and gives us so much joy in our life. He is also starting to talk so many words, he likes to dance and likes to watch videos on the net and listening music. One time I visited Carlota's site, Dashing Smile and she posted her daughter's video who was singing and playing guitar, my little boy was really amused watching it and after the song he made me restart the video again. Really I was on that page quite longer just letting him watch the video over and over again, hehehe. Nice video though, it amuses me too.

Yesterday I shared about how I miss my family back home due to some situation changes. It is really hard even though I was far from them when I was single while working abroad. Now I think it's unfair sometimes to miss them now that I have my own family here in the USA. To be clear, yes I feel I'm really not fair sometimes especially my husband is very good and supportive of me. What I mean is, I love them all and of course I miss them. Miss my family

My sister has no time to chat with me through Yahoo Messenger lately which makes me miss them all back home even more. Since my younger brother decided to buy a PC at home for my family, she is the one who always chats  along with my family members in the Philippines with a schedule for us to meet online. She is our youngest and only sister I have with my five brothers. Maybe you're wondering, why I only chat with her and not to my other siblings. I do chat with my brothers but as I've said she is my only sister in the family, as girl talks, she is the only one who can talk a lot and I need it since I'm far from them.

A few weeks ago my communication with them changed because my sister was busy preparing her wedding which was held 2 days ago. Even though I miss chatting with her, I'm very happy for her and I'm anxious to know how  her wedding was. I hope tonight my family is going to be online so that I can communicate with them again.

Sneezing and itching nose

All of us here have encountered sneezing and itching nose. I think it's from the sudden change in weather. Sometimes it's sunny and suddenly there are dark clouds. Like the other day in the morning it was dark due to clouds, then in the afternoon we had sunshine, then we had snow later in the afternoon. I think also it is from the trees starting to bud giving us allergies. If so it's my first time having an allergy to trees. It is hard really, especially I have a little boy to take care of. Today we have nice weather because it's not so cold outside but still we have no sunshine due to clouds.
