Weather here and Typhoon, Ondoy

It's been days now that we have had gloomy weather here. Luckily yesterday even though it's quite gloomy outside we still have a warm weather and we could walk to the store especially the weather updates here said that today and this coming days are going on the 60's Fahrenheit. For us having no vehicle since a few weeks ago is hard for us to walk in the cool and rainy weather going to the store. As of now the closing of our house has no tentative date yet of when will it be. I know everything has a reason and I know God will give the exact time for us to move to the Philippines.

Now, Metro Manila is facing difficulties from typhoon, Ondoy. I read some news and watched videos on the internet about what happened in the Philippines a few days ago. There was flooding and some lives lost, vehicles and homes and personal belongings were lost as well. It's not easy for those families who lost their loved ones and homes to live in and other important things. All we can do is to Pray and ask God for the recovery of the victims and for our safety always.

Nothing new yet

Nothing much has been done in the house except my husband brought some things from the house and put them in the garage. I couldn't do much because I had a lower backache since yesterday and thankfully today is a little better and for sure it will be gone tomorrow. Anyway I just newly finished dropping EC and I continue listening to Christian songs on YouTube while waiting for my family in the Philippines to get online. Well, nothing much to think here because nothing new yet, lol. Hopefully this coming week days we'll have some good news about the house here and then I can update here when we will be heading to the Philippines. So I'll go for now and have a great Sunday night to all...

Shoes

Due to the excitement of packing, I haven't anything to wear on my feet, lol. Yes, because I'm excited about packing things here, I have no shoes or sandals remaining here after we packed and sent Balikbayan boxes to the Manila Forwarders LA office for shipment to the Philippines. I noticed a week after we sent the 2 boxes to the said office and I said Ohhh!!!! I have no shoes here. My husband teased me to wear my flip flops. Yes I can wear flip flops but on an airplane with long hours of flight it can get quite cool for me and I need warm shoes on my feet. So I needed a new pair of shoes which I bought yesterday. Luckily they were on sale with a great on a nice brand of shoes which is Dr Scholl's!

Today we have a nice day. We walked with our little boy from home to the store, from the store back home, lol. Yes, my husband and I decided to go to store with our little boy in a stroller. Since we sold our vehicle over a week ago, we have no thoughts to go anywhere. Only today we decided to walk to the store and bought some important things for our daily needs. The reason we walked was to get some exercise after days of being busy at home preparing things to move. Now we're still waiting for the news from the Realtor about when is the closing for the house here. I'm always hoping soon!

Weight gain

Last night I had a chance to chat online with my youngest sister who is pregnant with her first child. While chatting with her I noticed her excitement and happiness about her pregnancy and I'm happy for her. The only thing she doesn't like is her weight gain and she told me that maybe she would use diet pills after she delivers her baby. I told her it's normal to gain weight as long as you eat good for you and the baby. I also told to her that if she uses diet pills, she must be careful because through my search I found out that not all diet pills are good. I have no idea what to do next but since my little boy is sleeping, I think it's better for me to make an update on this blog especially 2 days I couldn't update it. Home inspection

Today since we were waiting for the home inspector to come over our house, my husband and I were planning to buy something for our dinner because we knew that it take hours for the inspections to be done and yes the home inspection finished near 5 PM which is my schedule for preparing the food for dinner. That's the first home inspection here and the result is OK but there is one more home inspection to come from the city. Hopefully the second inspection is OK too.

It's the weekend here as usual we're quite busy. My husband continued selling stuff from our garage. Luckily the weather here is cooperating with him to sell things outside from the garage. He has some other things that need to be sold and someone already put down $200 to buy his vehicle within 2 weeks. I hope everything in the house is OK so that by 2 weeks from now we can buy our airplane tickets to move in the Philippines. At this time I have mixed emotions due to the fact that the house has not been inspection by the city yet. Hopefully everything is OK so that we can sell the house with no more renovations.

Quite busy days here again

As I've said in my last 2 posts, we are having some quite busy days here again. Yes we are quite busy again preparing and gather things from the garage for sale after we found out that this house has a buyer. My husband put up for sale the heavy things in our driveway and today only one item was sold. Hopefully these coming days there are more things to be sold. . Also today he decided to put his vehicle up for sale too. In our driveway as you can see there are a few items for sale today including my husband's vehicle. It is not easy to sell things these days and I know for sure it is not easy for my hubby to sell his things he loved. But no other choice because we are preparing to move to the Philippines soon.

The waiting is over!

The waiting is over! You read it, right? Yes, after a few weeks with the house on the market we finally have a buyer who wants it a few days ago. The agent called and told my husband that there is a buyer who wants to buy the house and she came by our home to get some papers signed and to talked with my husband. So yesterday the deal was made and we are just waiting for the closing next month. The Realtor agent said we have to wait 2 weeks to know the exact date of the closing and by then we can set our time to buy airline tickets. So I hope everything is gonna be OK and it's processed smoothly. As of now we are quite busy again with preparing things here but at least our waiting is over for the house and as I've said I hope everything is OK.
