He is still a baby

He is my boy and insists that he is still a baby. I tease him that he is not a baby anymore and he always says" I still a baby". Well, times really passed by so fast and he's already 2 years and 3 months old. At his age there are lots of things he shows interest in now, from play to work. A good diet

Exercise and eating the right foods are the best ways to keep the body strong and fit. As for me, a mother of an active 2 year old boy, I get plenty of exercise taking care of him. Before we newly arrived here in the Philippines I had a lot of weight gain until my little boy became more active which made me more busy playing with him too. What I need now is to have a good diet to help my body stay strong and continue with losing weight. I found a site the other day that list all of the foods that burn fat. We longed for rain

It's been a month since we had some rain here and also it's been so hot. We really need a nice breeze because it's really hot and humid. We longed for rain for a quite some time now and finally tonight we had some rain with a nice breeze to help us cool off. It wasn't much though but at least it helped us along with the animals, plants and other living things that need the rain. Yes, it's been many months now that we had problems with water pressure due to the lack of rain. We couldn't help but are hope and pray to have some rain pouring down and it happened tonight. We still continue hoping and praying to have some more of rain.

A distance from the main road and also from town

Our house is located quite a distance from the main road and also from town. So utilities like water and Internet service are quite a distance as well. That's why we have had difficulties with both the water supply and our Internet connection. Our water supply problem has already been solved for a few months now by using a water storage tank to hold water in times the water pressure is low which usually happens in the day time until midnight or so. But we still have problems with the Internet connection sometimes. I have no idea if we can solve this problem but if not, we will just accept it and be happy with patience,lol. Anyway it's not a big issue, what's important is, we are all happy and have a great place to live in.

A birthday gift for my niece

Since my little boy is still sleeping, there is nothing much for me to do right now so I'm continuing my work in front of the computer. My thoughts for my little boy

While sitting in front of the computer, listening to music and thinking about what I need to do while my little boy is sleeping, I remember my plans for my little boy. I'm considering to let him try nursery school next month. I have no idea if it's too early for him or if it's really the exact age for him. I just want him to learn be ready for the next school year when he starts preschool. Right now he is 2 years and 3 months old. I want him to learn how it be in school without mama beside him all the time. Hopefully my plans for him will be OK and he be OK and happy too so that we will both be happy and daddy as well.

My stomach bothers me a lot

It's about 20 minutes to 11 PM here. Usually at this time I'm already sleeping but tonight I've been laying in the bed for almost 30 minutes and still I am wide awake. My stomach bothers me a lot, it's sour in my upper abdomen. I have no idea if it's caused from the vitamins I took or from my dinner which was a lot of small clams. I thought the reason might be the vitamins I took because that's the reason I stop taking them a few years ago, I had the same sour feeling I have now and sometimes I would throw up. Anyway it doesn't matter what tablet or capsule I take, I really throw up most of the time when I take one. Today is my second day of taking my vitamins, I hope it won't cause me more stomach problems with a sour feeling in my upper abdomen again, then I can continue taking vitamins, hopefully because I really need a vitamin daily.

We tried to get a haircut

For many days we tried to get a haircut. Many times we went to town trying to drop by a barber shop and hair salon to get a haircut but we couldn't do it because we had limited time and just enough time for food shopping. Until yesterday, my husband and I decided to get a haircut today while we went to our nearby town to upgrade our Internet server at the same time we went shopping. I remembered yesterday that the shopping area has a hair salon and barber shop in it. It's a better place than where we use to get a haircut for my little boy. Compared to the previous barber shop, today the place has A/C with the same price which is 50 pesos for each of them and even my haircut was worth only 50 pesos which is a little over $1.00 in US money. It's a great deal!!!

We heard lots of different noises

With almost 6 months of the house being built we heard lots of different noises like the hammering of wood, power tools running, people laughing and talking and also talking and laughing with my little boy. It's been 2 weeks now that a few of the workers have finished with their respective works and only a few remained to do some cabinetry work which was finished yesterday leaving only one worker left to do some varnishing. Since the workers stopped coming to work on the house, I've notice we have more privacy, quiet and it really feels like we are on our own now. Before it was finished I couldn't really say it was a house and sometimes I would wonder how's the house going to be without the workers working here anymore, so now I feel happy and thankful to them for sharing their knowledge and expertise of building the house with us. Also for the few months of working for us, my husband and I do really appreciate it and are thankful to them. I know my little boy misses the laughs and talking they shared with him.

Our Internet server

Our Internet server is slow with a lower monthly payment. Sometimes it is hard to wait for programs and files to download. So my husband and I decided to upgrade our Internet server to a faster one but it comes with a higher monthly payment also. We thought we could finish upgrading the Internet server in the morning but there are some forms we are required to fill out first. Hopefully when we go back to the company office everything will be alright.

I finally found my long lost childhood friend!. I haven't talked to her since we were both the aged of 11 years old. Now we are both in our 30's. Weather

November weather in the Philippines is not as hot as now, which is summer. November last year was the month we arrived here from the USA. I noticed at that time, my husband and little boy adjusted to the weather here easily. Until February came the weather got hotter until now. As I've shared before February was the month we moved into our house, since then they both want to have the A/C on. Luckily, the house was ready for us to move in when the weather started getting hotter and I know how it's hard for my husband and my little boy to be without A/C with this kind of weather. I hope this coming rainy season we'll have a nice breeze to help us keep cool and I hope and pray we have nice weather as well.

I am happy now that I've started to visit and drop EC on some blogger pages. It's been a long time I couldn't drop EC since we arrived here in the Philippines. Two months ago, my husband and I decided to move into our house even though it wasn't finished yet. One of the reasons was to conserve money. Some things about me that have changed

After two years of being a mother, there are some things about me that have changed. I remember when I was single I would go to the mall and buy whatever I wanted as long as I could afford it. HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE

It's Saturday here and as usual it is payday for the workers we have working on the house. Saturday is one of the busiest days here since we started building our house. From errands for the house materials to household chores and preparing and computing the days of work. All of that work is really challenging but at least my husband and I are happy because we can see that the house is almost finished.
