I'm wide awake

It is time to sleep and snore for others but not for myself. Yes, it's 11 PM already and my eyes are wide awake. I have no idea why I'm wide awake but I feel tired and my body needs to take some rest. I've been tired for two nights in a row from lack of sleep due to my left shoulder and neck is in pain. In the morning when I woke up the pain was a little better and I could turn my neck without saying ouch. Unlike the last 2 nights it was really worse, I could hardly move my left shoulder and neck especially when I laid down in the bed. Hopefully these 3 nights in a row with lack of sleep won't make me more sick and these wide awake eyes will close now, lol.

A new toy

My Little boy got a new toy last Christmas. Since then that's his favorite toy which is shown on the left. It has a remote control or it can be manually operated which is good for the beginner. It's been a few weeks for him driving it with his dad using the remote control. Now, he started driving by himself but since he is inexperienced, my husband follows him while he is driving to make sure he doesn't run anybody over. Well, it's good exercise for my husband walking back and forth in our drive way behind him.

While writing this post, I'm thinking about his birthday coming up next month but I can't think of anything to get him as a birthday gift. Last year it was a Buzz Lightyear which is one of his favorite cartoon characters. Hopefully he doesn't get spoiled with all the toys he has though. I prefer getting him some clothes this time. Hopefully he likes receiving clothes!

Our little boy went to school

Our little boy went to school about an hour ago and my little girl started her morning nap several minutes ago so hopefully she'll stay sleeping so that I can have a longer time here in front of the PC. For us here as usual we have a busy morning preparing things for our little boy to go to school. He spends two hours every day in school for his class with my cousin who watches him there. Yes, he has somebody who goes with him in school, like some other kids do also. Hopefully next year he can go alone in school without somebody watching him there, which means we can drop him off to school and after class pick him up.

My little boy is turning 4 years old this coming February. I've noticed that he is starting to be a little more independent going to my family's house who lives quite a few quite meters away, but still within seeing distance. It is already 11:20 at night and I am here wide awake. So I decided to let myself get tired in front of the PC while my kids and husband are asleep. How was your Christmas celebration everyone? Here we had a simple celebration with family and a Christmas party for the kids. It's been 2 days now that we personally brought our little boy to school on a tricycle. Yes our car was damaged and needs to be fixed. The car was in an accident after backing down from our elevated garage with an open door and slammed into the garage post. Since my little boy started Preschool, I've been busier everyday with his assignments giving him some lessons to learn. It's quite a hard time for a mother like me who has an infant and a Preschooler who is still depending on me for his assignments and to give him lessons. Headache, back and neck pain is what I'm having tonight. I have no idea how can I stop this back pain I have. I had a massage 2 times a month before and after I had my second child. Just watching my two Angels sleeping together with their different positions. I am happy that they have the same time slot for their nap today so that I can have a little time in front of the PC because if my boy isn't sleeping, I have to watch him to make sure he doesn't disturb my little girl sleeping. It's been almost a year since our last visit to the dentist. I remember our last visit was when I was 4 months pregnant with my little girl. Now she is going to be 3 months old. Having warm weather with the sudden rains caused us to catch a cough. As I've shared two weeks ago, my little girl got sick with a cough and stuffy nose and luckily it was gone after a week of treatment. Unfortunately after her, I got it. Baby getting sick

It is so hard to have a 2 month old baby getting sick. Yes my little girl has had a cough and stuffy nose for nearly a week now. At first I thought it wasn't going to get serious when I first noticed she was sneezing. After a few days she got a stuffy nose while she slept at night. Then she started coughing as well. By then I started checking her temperature often and luckily she has had no fever. We went to the doctor to get her some medication and tomorrow she'll have another check up. I know she is still going to need more medication due to the fact that she still has the cough. I hope and pray she will be OK soon especially she has a hard time taking medicine and I feel bad watching my little girl cry and cough as well. Getting sick is not good but if I could I would suffer my children's sickness for them.

As I've shared before in this blog that I've been busier than what I'm use to since I started bringing my little boy to Preschool. Instead of having some spare time in the morning after breakfast I am busy preparing him and bringing him to Preschool which he started a month ago. His schedule is from 10 am to 12 noon. In the 2 hours of school there are lots of activities the kids do inside the classroom and some assignments to take home 3 or 4 days a week. In the classroom my little boy needs to adjust his attitude because he gets bored easily. I am happy even though he has a bored attitude inside the classroom he still participates in most of the activities. I am so hopeful that he will change the boring attitude so that he can behave himself in class.

After getting the result of the ultrasound last week, we finally bought some clothes for my little girl. Yes we finally know for sure she's a girl! Since my little boy started preschool, I am busier than usual during the week. This is so challenging to me as a mother and quite tiring as well especially with my big tummy which is due this coming month. I've needed to be patient with the character of my little boy in the first few days inside the schoolroom but now he is able to participate in the school activities and listen to the teacher which makes my husband and I very happy. Now he is in the third week of school and hopefully he will continue to do good work. I know he needs more time to adjust. This is our new Nipa shed which is what my husband wanted. It's his first project made since after the house was built. We are not100% sure of the gender

During the past few weeks I was a little stressed about this blog because I wasn't sure I would be able to renew it. Luckily I have an Angel who saved it, Bobbie my step daughter. Thanks Bobbie for helping me renew my domain and to my husband who is always there for me. Thanks a lot to both of you. My stressful story started when I received an email stating the date of my domain renewal. It took a long time for me to figure out a way to pay the bill because we don't have a credit card. My husband applied for a credit card here, but because he is not a citizen of this country, he was denied. That's when he asked Bobbie to borrow her credit card to pay the bill. Now I am so happy that this domain can continue and hopefully next year I'll be able to use my own credit card to make the payment. Also I'm hopeful the credit card application I made a couple of weeks ago will be granted soon.

Like I always shared here, I've been lazy since I got pregnant and this is my 7th month of pregnancy. I thought after my morning sickness ended I would be totally back to normal, but I was wrong. Outside is really so hot right now. The humidity is so high. I think we have rain coming probably tonight, hopefully. Like last night it rained heavily for nearly an hour I think. Today we're having a long hot day which will dry up the wet ground from last night's rain. I just came in from doing something outside and I was sweating a lot so I stopped my work and came back inside the room with the A/C on. This is the kind of weather that makes my husband and little boy looking for ways to cool off, that's why the A/C is always on everyday after lunch time until after of my little boy's nap.

A few days ago we went to the car dealer for a scheduled maintenance of our car. We arrived in the car dealer before noon and I thought we would just have to wait about an hour for the car to be finished but my husband was right because he said it might be finished in a few hours. Yes the one who assisted us said to come back for the car at 3 PM. Well of course it was hard for us to wait without anything to do, so my husband and I decided to leave and come back at 3PM. We went to a store that had lots of affordable things for sale for the house. Since our house needs lots of decorations for the walls and some sort of artificial flowers for the tables, I easily found them there and I said where were you when we were ready to buy some things from you? Now that we have no time and no car with us, we found you here, lol. Well, next time hopefully those things we like will still be there.

As I was walking by my husband on his laptop, I noticed he was online at a page that sells abrasives. Due to the warm weather along with the sudden rains we get, it sometimes leads us to get a cough. My little boy got his cough with stuffy nose a few days ago. I just gave him the medicine leftover from the last prescription his doctor gave him because we are on holiday here. If he still has a cough Monday for sure we will bring him to his doctor again for a proper check up. It's been almost 3 years since I got a domain for this blog. I have no idea if I can renew it this year or not. It is so complicated because we don't have a credit card to use for making the payment which is due in May. We expected to have one by now because we applied for one online a few months ago but we still haven't received it yet. An afternoon nap and eating are my favorite things now a days, lol. That's why I gained 16 lbs. since I got pregnant. My sister keeps telling me to stop my habit of having a nap every afternoon. I said I would really try my best but it seems like my body and mind won't cooperate with me. Our house is surrounded by coconuts and some other kinds of trees. As I've shared quite while ago, we bought this lot with lots of mature trees which is one of the reasons my husband bought this lot and decided to build a house on it. Having this lot with lots of trees there are many things to do to keep it maintained. Now, aside from the house maintenance we also have our big yard to maintain and keep clean. Since we started living here we hired someone to pull up the long grasses in the yard and clean underneath the trees. A few days ago we hired somebody to pick up some rocks in the same areas. How can my little boy not feel sleepy at this time? It's almost 10:40 at night here and he is still playing. Hours of sleep

Luckily my son had his nap today! Yes that's the words I thought since we have a swing set in the yard. I am so happy that my little boy had hours of sleeps this afternoon. Some hearing loss

I often complained to my husband that he wasn't listening to me when I would say something to him because he would answer me with "what did you say?". But after going to an ear doctor and getting a hearing test done with an audiometer, we discovered he has some hearing loss in his right ear. So now I can understand why he asks me to repeat what I say sometimes. The doctor told him he could get a hearing aid if he wanted but my husband said he can still hear good with his right ear so no need.

I love flowers

I love flowers, that's why I'm sharing it with you now, lol. Even my blog header has flowers too, right? Well flowers came to my mind when I was looking at photos on my laptop and I saw a photo of my orchids which I took a week ago. I bought a couple of orchids so I could replant them in a dead branch of a tree. Now I'm happy because they are showing us nice flowers. Aside from that there are other flowers ready to bloom on the other orchids. I will have to wait probably a week or so for the flowers to totally bloom.

Likes to play basketball

I came from a big family. I have 5 brothers and 1 sister including myself makes 7 of us. Three of my brothers likes to play basketball especially our youngest brother. Since he is our youngest bro he is spoiled and always asked for what he wants. Like recently he asked me for a pair of shoes. We were planning to give him a necklace for his birthday but now we will probably change our mind and buy him what he wants which is a pair of Nike 6.0 shoes. Well, I have no idea what they look like or if they are durable or not, but Nike is a well known brand so they are probably good shoes. Since my little boy was having his nap I directly went to the yard to take some photos of the new front porch railings and swings we just had installed which I shared about here a few days ago. I took these photos to share since my little boy is giving me time to do this. It's hard for me to hold a camera with him near by because he tries to take it from me and take pictures of anything by himself. That's the reason it's hard for us to take some photos of him also.

I am gaining weight

I'm on the 5Th month of my pregnancy and I am gaining weight. On my 1st trimester my weight was stable at 110 lbs. until my last visit to my doctor I gained a few pounds. Being pregnant, I'm not worried about gaining weight. I know it will be hard to lose weight after I have the baby but nursing my baby will help me lose some weight because I experienced that before with my first baby. Like my cousin who didn't nurse her baby, it is difficult for her to lose weight now. A new toy

Our little boy has a new toy which arrived 2 days ago. The new toy I mention is a swing set which we ordered last week with the railings on our porch. We got a good deal on the two orders from a local welder who does custom metal work and the railings and swings came out great. Now our little boy is so happy and can enjoy playing on the swings anytime at home. Us adults can enjoy the swings as well because they are well made and they can hold a lot of weight.

One of the most important kitchen utensils is a knife. Yes, I am talking about this now because our dull kitchen knives irritate me every time I use them. It is getting harder and harder for me to cut vegetables and meat every day. I have no idea what kind a kitchen knife will stay sharp longer. I chose the knives I'm using now and I told my husband to select good kitchen knives next time we go shopping. He said, "I hope they have ginsu knives in the store". The Ginsu knives are the kitchen knives we used when we were in the USA. Yes, I remember that they were really good to use. Well, I hope we can find them here or else we can try to find Ginsu knives in an online store.

Immunization

My 3 year old little boy had an appointment yesterday with his doctor for his typhoid immunization. That was his 3rd immunization since we arrived here in the Philippines. It was hard for him because he forgot everything about needle pains when he was a baby and now he is a toddler. When he had his first poke of the needle for his first immunize here 2 months ago, he really cried when the needle was stuck in his arm. I thought that would be the last time he would want to see the doctor, but I was wrong because he is still OK with it. I am happy because he hasn't given us a hard time bringing him to see the doctor for immunization especially when he still has still 2 more immunizations to come.

While sitting here I'm thinking about what do we give to my nephew for his birthday today. Well, let's see what our decision will be because we are invited to have dinner at his house tonight. Wish I could exercise using either the bicycle or the tread mill shown in the photo at the left. My husband bought them separately. He bought the bicycle a couple of months after we arrived here in the Philippines and just used it a few times after he bought it. A few months ago he decided to buy a treadmill to use inside the house. Now he can exercise either rain or shine and whenever he feels like using it. I am happy because he can get some exercise now. Wish I could use the tread mill now but I'm afraid of my big belly. Well, walking with my little boy in the yard is a substitute though.

What a great day for me in front of the PC! Since I got pregnant I think this is the longest time I've been able to work in front of the PC on my blog. Nice sunlight to dry our wet clothes

The weather here can be unpredictable even though summer has started. Two nights ago it rained after we had nice skies during the daytime. Today I was so happy when I woke up in the morning because there was nice sunlight to dry our wet clothes which were washed and ready to hang on the clotheslines. Yes we did hang them up until after lunchtime the sky suddenly had dark clouds with some showers of rain. I directly went to the clotheslines and gathered all of the clothes especially our really thick bath towels that needed to dry up more. Yes, our towels are really thick and durable because they are Chase by Sferra which are all from the USA. My husband used them for a long time until he shared them with me when I arrived in the USA. Now that we are here living in the Philippines, we still continue to use them.

My doctor's visit

I finally had my doctor's visit yesterday for my check up after I shared in the last few posts that it was postponed till next week. The day of the appointment I called the doctor's office and they said it's OK but the schedule was earlier than the usual time, so we decided to continue with the first schedule which was yesterday and the check up turned out great. My weight is getting higher and we heard the heartbeat of my Angel. Also on my next visit hopefully my Angel cooperate to let us know what gender she/he be. I'll take another ultrasound for that.

A doctor appointment

I had a doctor appointment this week but it was changed to next week instead. It's quite OK though because we have a bank appointment in the same week. That way we can do 2 things in the city on the same trip so that we can save time and gasoline because it's a 2 hour drive one-way to the city. Even though I am so anxious to hear the baby's heartbeat from tummy again, I guess I can wait one more week. I'm also waiting anxiously to know the sexuality of my Angel as well. I gained a little weight

I'm on the 4th month of my pregnancy and still suffering with morning sickness. I try my best to eat good but sometimes I throw it up. At least I gained a little weight which is important for a pregnant woman and I'm happy with it especially my doctor keeps asking me why I do not gain weight for the last two consecutive check ups. Now at least I have gained a little weight to show her next time, lol. Talking about weight gain, at this time I'm not too worried about it because it's a normal thing for a pregnant woman and I know it will be a long time before I have to think about using diet pills. Having a headache

In the month of February

In the month of February we had a few birthdays to celebrate but I never mentioned them here until now. I couldn't even greet you all for Valentines Day, for that I'm really so sorry. But aside from Valentines Day, my little boy and I have our birthdays in the same month. Due to my problem with staying a long time in front of PC, I haven't updated on this blog on a regular basis. My birthday was on Feb. 15 and my little boy's was on Feb. 18. I celebrated my birthday with a simple dinner with my family and my little boy celebrated with kids, family, relatives and friends. We both had a great day on our birthdays.
